What is This Training about?

​

This Pranayama immersion is an intensive training designed to delve deep into the art and science of pranayama—the ancient yogic practice of breath control. This immersive experience spans 20 hours, providing participants with a profound understanding of breath as a transformative tool for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.​

Level 1: Breathwork and Pranayama Training

May 4 & 5 (10 Hours)


In level 1, we will cover functional breathing, how to improve our breathing habits in our day-to-day activities, and how that ultimately supports our overall health and longevity. We will specifically cover the Oxygen Advantage method, a renowned science-backed breath training, to understand the three dimensions of functional breathing and different techniques to support the quality of our breath. We will understand the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system, and cover multiple breathwork techniques.

   • Respiratory Anatomy 
   • Postures to support the respiratory system 
   • LSD breathing technique 
   • Foundational Pranayama Techniques
   • Techniques and benefits of breath hold techniques

Certification:

Participants will get an Oxygen Advantage Certificate. This is also a 20hour Yoga Alliance Continued Education certified course

Level 2: Pranayama & Breathwork Teacher Training

May 11 & 12 (10 Hours)

​

The art of breath control is an ancient practice that many cultures and lineages have understood a long time ago. In Level 2, we will go deeper into the philosophy around pranayama, understanding the energy system, and nervous system, and go through advanced breathwork techniques. After completing both levels 1&2 participants will be able to lead Breathwork / Pranayama classes and guide clients and students through multiple techniques.

   • Sensory withdrawal techniques 
   • Advanced pranayama techniques 
   • Advanced breath hold techniques

   • How to structure and teach pranayama/ breathwork classes
   • Important guidelines for teaching pranayama  
   • Contraindications to be aware of when practicing and teaching pranayama 
   • Pranayama sadhana practice

   • Pranayama Kriyas

Certification:

if you are a yoga alliance certified teacher these hours will be counted in your continued education experience.

Is this training for you?

​

Level 1: Ideal for those seeking a deeper personal practice and understanding of breathwork. No prior experience is required.
Level 2*: A comprehensive teacher training for those integrating breathwork into their offerings and are interested in advanced pranayama and breathing techniques.


*Level 1 is a prerequisite for Level 2.

All course dates will run at Intercontinental Dubai Marina Studio. The space is purpose-built for yoga practice and fully equipped with everything you need.

​

Dima is a certified  yoga teacher and breathwork therapist that comes with over 10 years of experience with the practice. 


Her teachings are grounded on the foundations of yogic philosophy and neuroscience. She has a MA in Cognition and continues to study the interplay between cognitive processes, behavioral patterns, and how our thoughts and interpretations influence our emotions and shape our reality. 

​

She has received extensive training from some of the world's leading yoga and breath masters studying the role of the nervous system and how the breath can be used as a tool to heal the the mind-body relationship. 

​

She has an ongoing breathwork mentorship with her breath mentor, learning the techniques from the Swami Gitananda lineage, a wisdom passed down exclusively from guru to guru. She also holds a dual certifications as both an Oxygen Advantage Advanced Instructor and using the Oxygen Advantage Method for Yoga.

​

She's passionate about sharing and teaching the profound ways in which the breath  can be used as a tool for self-discovery, growth and health.
