for mental health

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

We will explore the reality of how the mind can control our emotions and body structure. Especially during the times of Covid-19, we have had a lot more stress paired with spare time, which has given the mind a free-for-all to push our boundaries and limitations of the desired happy, healthy, and well balanced lifestyle. Kelsi will share her personal experiences with mental health and with yoga and how she has benefited from her personal movement and mindfulness practice. We will delve deeper into the why and how we all are prone to struggle with mind games along with creating a yoga practice and a stronger sense of self awareness to help battle the inner fight for a more harmonious mind and body connection.

Kelsi is an E-RYT500+ multi-style yoga instructor. She believes that yoga is a gift to each individual, exactly where they are at. Everyone can practice yoga and gain its benefits through the various styles. Kelsi teaches Hatha, Vinyasa, Power, Ashtanga, Kid's, Pre-natal, and Chair/Corporate Yoga. Kelsi has been practicing yoga for 15 years and teaching for more than 5 years. She began her yoga practice after completing her collegiate athletic career and two knee operations. Yoga helped her maintain joint health and keep a fitness regime, which soon developed into a lifestyle. Kelsi went to Rishikesh, India for her first teacher training. She appreciated the authentic yoga experience and training that she received and has gone back to India for her advanced TTC and Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training. Due to her training, it is her desire that her students will be able to experience the authentic yoga practice through asana, mantra and meditation practice in each of her classes.
