YOGA WORKSHOP
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Move your practice from beginner to intermediate and intermediate to advanced. Develop the tools to build the strength of the deeply rooted core muscles to move with more ease and grace in the more daunting yoga postures.
This workshop will begin with a warm up, followed by basic abdominal exercises to get our core ready for the more intensive workshop practice.
We will learn fun and new ways to strengthen the core by using props. We will learn to stabilize our yoga postures by delving into the yoga Bandha system. And we will learn to progress our yoga asanas from our strong and stable core center.
Some yoga asana postures which we will strengthen and stabilize and eventually progress towards are: Navasana, bakasana, sirsasana, adho mudka vrksasana, and pincha mayurasana, along with many others in which the each individual is wanting to progress towards.
The yoga sutras of Patanjali states: "Sthira Sukham Asanam" - That which is stable and comfortable. All asana postures are just exercise until we find ourselves able to stabilize and be in the asana with comfort and ease. Once we find our postures to be comfortable and stable, then we have practiced yoga; until then it is just exercise.
